Carol Rose, executive director at the ACLU of Massachusetts, today released the following statement in response to the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision to uphold the block on the Trump Administration’s Muslim ban:

“The federal appeals court in Richmond has confirmed what we’ve already seen here in Massachusetts: when we fight, we win. After we filed our original lawsuit in Boston amid the chaos caused by the Trump Muslim ban, we saw the Trump Administration pull back from its crackdown on existing green card holders. Now, months later, we see this encouraging decision at the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, in a parallel challenge to the Muslim ban that also was argued by the ACLU. At the ACLU, we remain committed to resisting the worst excesses of the Trump Administration.”
