Carol Rose, executive director at the ACLU of Massachusetts, today released the following statement in response to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision to uphold the block on the Trump Administration’s Muslim ban:

"The federal appeals court in San Fransciso has confirmed what we’ve already seen here in Massachusetts: when we fight, we win. After the ACLU filed our original lawsuits in Boston and New York amid the chaos caused by the Trump Muslim ban, we saw the Trump Administration pull back from its crackdown on existing green card holders. Two weeks ago, we saw the encouraging decision at the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals - and now, a second federal appeals court has ruled in favor of fairness and liberty. At the ACLU, we will continue to work every day in the courts, in the state legislature, and in our communities to resist the worst excesses of the Trump Administration."
