Trump women respect

President Trump has claimed that “nobody has more respect for women” than him on numerous occasions. We disagree. Already during his short tenure in office, his policies have advocated for blatant discrimination against women – limiting their access to preventative healthcare. President Trump’s words speak for themselves.

On childcare:

President Trump told Howard Stern in 2005: “I won’t do anything to take care of them. I’ll supply funds and she’ll take care of the kids. It’s not like I’m gonna be walking the kids down Central Park.”

On women in business:

“There was a great softness to Ivana, and she still has that softness, but during this period of time, she became an executive, not a wife... You know, I don’t want to sound too much like a chauvinist, but when I come home and dinner’s not ready, I’ll go through the roof, OK?”

“My big mistake with Ivana was taking her out of the role of wife and allowing her to run one of my casinos in Atlantic City, then the Plaza Hotel. The problem was, work was all she wanted to talk about. When I got home at night, rather than talking about the softer subjects of life, she wanted to tell me how well the Plaza was doing, or what a great day the casino had. I will never again give a wife responsibility within my business.”

On mothers in the workplace:

“She’s not giving me 100%. She’s giving me 84%, and 16% is going towards taking care of children.”

On women's health:

Candidate Trump said debate moderator, Megyn Kelly, had "blood coming out of her eyes," and "blood coming out of her wherever."
