Massachusetts is not immune to police violence and misconduct—and we must demand change. After months of advocacy and debate, our state legislature has finally sent a police accountability bill to Governor Baker’s desk. Now, we need people from across the Commonwealth to call Governor Baker and ask him to sign the bill into law.

Call Governor Baker: demand police accountability!

Below is a phone script you can use when making your call. Feel free to personalize it with why you support police accountability and racial justice. If you are patched through to a recording from the Governor's office, you can press 1 to leave a general voicemail.

“Hi my name is _______________, and I live in (CITY/TOWN). I’m calling today to ask Governor Baker to sign the police reform bill into law. Among other important provisions, it will create a police oversight commission, set standards for use of force, and limit the use of face surveillance technology. Massachusetts has a chance to create real accountability. Please sign this legislation into law without delay. Thank you.”
