In May 2022, the ACLU of Massachusetts (ACLUM) sent a letter to the residents of the Town of Mansfield. The letter outlines substantial legal concerns with articles 20 (concerning “divisive concepts”) and 17 (“prohibited signs amendment”) on the warrant for the May 19 Annual Town Meeting.
ACLUM asked that the attached letter be shared with the Town Meeting in order to help better inform the vote.
