The campaign aims to build voter awareness and engagement in municipalities with large or growing Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. Through coordinated outreach and knowledge-sharing, BIPOC to the Ballot Box is working to hear from community members about what issues matter most to them, understand the barriers to civic participation, and encourage everyone to use their vote as their voice.

2025 Municipal Elections

In 2025, BIPOC to the Ballot Box engaged voters in Brockton, Lawrence, Springfield, and Worcester to highlight local elections and turn out the vote.

We sent a questionnaire to all candidates in this year's at-large city council elections Brockton, Lawrence, Springfield, and Worcester and the mayoral election in Brockton. The responses of those who answered the questionnaire by the deadline given are below. The ACLU of Massachusetts does not endorse or oppose candidates for elected office.

Candidates' answers are published as we received them and have not been edited. Candidates who did not respond are marked "No Response".
