Massachusetts Senate votes for equality for transgender Bay Staters

The ACLU of Massachusetts today thanks the state Senate for its historic vote to protect the rights of transgender people in the Commonwealth.
As a member of the Freedom Massachusetts coalition and proud supporters of transgender equality, we will continue to work for swift passage in the House and signature by Governor Baker. At a time when states such as North Carolina are in the news for overt discrimination against LGBTQ people, it is especially important for Massachusetts to model what it looks like to cement into law our cherished values of equality and respect.
