Kate Lagreca is the communications director for the ACLU of Massachusetts, where she oversees communications strategy and media relations. Since joining the ACLU of Massachusetts in March 2018, Kate has been instrumental in efforts to improve access to abortion, win statewide police and prosecutorial reforms, and bring visibility to the organization’s court cases and advocacy actions.

Before joining the ACLU, Kate worked for four years at Northwind Strategies, where she helped develop, manage, and execute strategic communications campaigns for political, nonprofit, and corporate clients. She also served as Assistant to the Massachusetts Press Secretary for United States Senator John Kerry, and later served in the press office of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. She is a graduate of Emerson College.

After the 2016 election, Kate was a member of the Boston Women’s March organizing committee. She led all local and national press efforts for the event, which drew 175,000 participants to the Boston Common in January 2017.
