Oamshri Amarasingham joined the ACLU of Massachusetts as deputy legislative director in September 2019 after seven years at the organization’s Maine affiliate. As advocacy director at the Maine affiliate, Oami advanced the organization’s legislative agenda, working to pass first in the nation privacy laws, expand access to reproductive health care, and reform Maine’s approach to drug policy. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College with honors in 2006 and earned her J.D. from Northeastern University in 2012. Oami is admitted to the bar in Maine and Massachusetts.
