Report into arrest of Harvard prof. Henry Louis Gates sidesteps key issues
As the ACLU of Massachusetts and other advocates point out in a Bay State Banner opinion piece, neither racial profiling nor the constitutional right to talk back to the police were addressed in the expensive Cambridge Review Committee report looking into the arrest of Professor Gates by a Cambridge police officer at his home last year.
