Driscoll public schools trial have estimated that the state's per pupil foundation level of support is several thousand dollars short of the amount of money needed to provide an adequate education to students, an education that meets the state's constitutional standard. News reports today indicate that over 6,000 seniors have not passed the math and English sections of the 10th-grade Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System as of December 2002. The December retest was the fourth try to pass the test for many in the class of 2003. |
