ACLU National Membership Conference 2008

More than 30 of our members and supporters from Massachusetts traveled to Washington, DC for our national membership conference, June 8 - 11, 2008.

These are pictures from our lobbying visits to the offices of Sen. Kerry and Sen. Kennedy. We asked for an end to warrantless surveillance, an end to torture, the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate what laws the administration has broken, and resistance to "employment verification" legislation -- anti-immigrant measures that would create hassles for millions of American citizens as well, by requiring government verification of employment eligibility that would rely on databases that are currently riddled with errors.
