Repeal the Military Commissions Act of 2006 Thanks to this law, the President has broad authority to declare anyone in the world an "enemy combatant", allow torture and other forms of prisoner abuse, and strip people of habeas corpus. In addition, the act makes the Geneva Conventions and gives U.S. officials immunity from prosecution for war crimes. This act is Unamerican, Unconstitutional and must be repealed. Act now.

TORTURE: SHOW YOUR OUTRAGE

Demonstrate! Join Phoebe and Susan every Friday at noon in front of the JFK Building in Government Center to protest U.S. use of torture, and the Military Commissions Act of 2006. Bring a sign, wear a jumpsuit, fast, or just stand in solidarity as this group speaks, sings, hands out fliers, and reads the names of prisoners at Guantanamo.

Collect Signatures! Get out a pen and sign our anti-torture petition. While you're at it, ask friends and family to sign on as well. Better yet, collect signatures in your neighborhood or at an event and mail or fax the petition back to us. >> Download the petition here.
