Join hundreds of ACLU members and supporters at UMass Boston on Saturday, February 6, 2010, for the ACLU’s third annual statewide conference. This year’s gathering focuses on government secrecy and the growing surveillance society. Learn what we can do about both, by “shining a light” on the secrets and the system.

Keynote: The Right to Know

Jameel Jaffer
Few have done as much to shine light on U.S. government torture and abuse of power as Jameel Jaffer, Director of the ACLU’s National Security Program. Jaffer has used Freedom of Information Act lawsuits to unearth thousands of pages of secret documents. He will speak about rolling back secrecy and achieving accountability.
